Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wanepia ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service catalog and uptime monitoring platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information — name and email address provided during registration
Service configuration — names, URLs, check intervals, and other settings you configure in the Service
Check results — uptime status, latency measurements, and error messages generated by running your configured checks
Notification configuration — webhook URLs, Slack channels, or other alert destinations you provide
API keys — hashed credentials used to authenticate API and CLI access
Usage logs — request logs including IP address, timestamp, HTTP method, and response code, retained for operational purposes

We do not collect payment card information directly. We do not run advertising or build behavioral profiles.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Service:

Executing health checks against the endpoints you configure
Delivering notifications to the channels you have connected
Authenticating your account and API access
Diagnosing technical issues and maintaining service reliability
Communicating with you about your account or material changes to the Service

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. These include encryption in transit (TLS), hashed credential storage, and access controls.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on a limited number of third-party providers:

Infrastructure — cloud hosting provider for server infrastructure
Monitoring telemetry — Grafana Cloud for internal operational metrics and logs (does not include your account or check data)

When you configure notifications (Slack, Discord, Telegram, webhooks), we transmit alert data to those third-party endpoints on your behalf. Their data handling is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Check result history is retained for 90 days by default. Upon account termination, your data is deleted within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Rectification — correct inaccurate data
Erasure — request deletion of your data
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

7. Cookies

The Service uses a session cookie to maintain your authenticated state after login. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
